Still...in...Fargo... *sigh*

Every time I talk to someone its the same thing. They get to the question, "So where are you now? You're not still in Fargo are ya?" And I answer sheepishly, "Yeah, I'm even in the same apartment." And then there's a pause and they say, "Oh."

Well, I've been thinking...why should I be saying that like someone just told me I was gonna have to eat beets or eggplant or any other vegetable that I don't really care for? It might be Fargo and 3 hours and 15 min (if go about 80-85mph without stopping) northwest of the Twin Cities, but it does have its perks.

1. I have a nice paying job as an Inside Sales Account Executive for a company called SEI and another one called Microsoft. In fact, it looks like I just made my monthly and quarterly incentive in less than a day=)

2. I've been having the opportunity to do 4-5 shows a year so I can finally just get some experience and work on improving in all types of different venues in the theatre community.

3. Can you say "cost of living?!" Yeah, dirt cheap. I rent an apartment with 2BD and 1 BATH for $485/month. Haven't found that deal down there yet...if you do, let me know!

4. I just got a hot roommate! Oh knock it off! It's my girlfriend, man...but she is hot=)

I'm sure I could name more, but those are the things that really matter. The only real things that suck right now are that my friends are all over the country now and far away, my car died two months ago and can't find a co-signer for a loan for new one, and winter...but even the winters have been pretty mild lately. But I do miss stargazin'. Either way you look at it, this is home for me...so...ummm....come visit me sometime!=)

Oh and my friend, Joey, is right...a livejournal is a blog. So we've been at this sort of thing before it was "cool." So by default that makes us "cool"...(sounds of crickets chirping) *sigh* Ok, not so much, but it was worth a try=)

just as you said though Adam, cost of living is lower, so apartments rent is lower. You could do the same job down here and make more I'm guessing. Later Dude
